The Magic Lantern

The following work was developed, designed and made by myself as part of my performance concept for the tale of
“The Seven Poor Travellers” by Charles Dickens in 2018.
It depicts a fully working, Victorian style projector made out of copper, with 26 hand painted and coloured picture slides.
The pictures are partly animated and tell the story of Richard Doubledick.
