Antigone

Developed in 2016 as my first university project, this work addresses a contemporary reinterpretation of the Greek play “Antigone”.
Set in today’s Africa, it furthermore lights the backstory of Heamon, Antigone’s fiancé.

Stage design

The design was made to fit the assembly hall of the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester and is depicted on the following pictures in form of my 1:25 scale model.

Costume Design

The main characters of this play go through a transformation in the course of the play.
A development which I also reflected in their costumes.
